What are the Main Ingredients?

DuMOR poultry feeds, like other bird feeds, are grain-based with corn and soy blends, then, vitamin/mineral premixes as the base ingredient.

Dumor Starter Feed has 20% protein, a high value of lysine and methionine to enhance the growth of your chicks.

The calcium value is less than 1.5% to enable rapid growth, enhance food absorption, and improve feed efficiency.

In the Layers feed, the crude protein is reduced to 16% while the calcium value is increased to 4% for better shell formation.

How to switch to DuMOR

Start feeding your day-old chicks with DuMOR starter feed that contains 20% protein for fast growth, and stop it at 7 to 10 weeks depending on strain and your growth targets.

After 10 weeks, you should transition to Growers’ feed for another 8 weeks, then move to Finishers feed.

For egg-laying birds, switch to a 16% layer or EggMaxx formula after Growers around sexual maturity, which is about 18 to 20 weeks.

Fast-growing broilers will often get higher-protein Starter and Grower feeds followed by a Finisher specific to meat birds.

Are there any concerns?

There is no risk switching to DuMOR chicken feeds as it’s a certified feed brand that has survived the test of time.

Some poultry farmers have noticed a few changes in the texture of the feed from one bag to another, and reactions from their birds.

Others complained about changes in vitamin value and palatability, and can happen when the feeds are exposed to heat, moisture, or long storage in the store.

As a farmer, you should check the manufacturing date before you buy, and get your feed from retailers that restock regularly.

Also, keep your feed off the ground, especially in winter, and inspect for mustiness before adding to your chicken feeders.

Conclusion

DuMOR is a quality chicken feed that’s available in medicated and non-medicated feeds.

It has formulations for different strains, and life stages to promote healthy growth, increase productivity, and profitability for poultry farmers.
